I mentioned photographic obsessions in another post, and sunrises and sunsets have become something of that this year. Here are a few from what turns out to be rather a large collection...
Clouds - Callan Park, Sydney
I realised this week that I'm a cloud tragic, but really, how can you not be entranced with a new show every day, where the price of admission is simply lifting your eyes up from the road ahead.
No matter where you look for the statistics, the failure rates for start up businesses makes for sobering reading. I was reading a summary of some Harvard Business School research from 2011 today. This research used a number of different definitions for failure, from total collapse and liquidation, to not meeting targets. However, whatever the definition, the reality is that a high percentage of new businesses fail within the first four years.
Rand Fishkin of Moz doesn't often take a populist view, and is prepared to be controversial where he thinks this can provide value to his audience. This week's topic for White Board Video is "The Best Way to Suck at Marketing - Whiteboard Friday", and it's worthwhile taking the time to watch.
I'm starting to enjoy looking for photographs from the point of view of our westie, particularly the fact that quite mundane objects in our environment suddenly take on a much more dramatic character when shot from that height. I think Billy has a pretty interesting view on the world really.
